Understanding The Basics of Christianity

Therefore leaving behind the principles of the doctrine of YAHUSHUA, let us go on to perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward GOD, of the doctrine of baptisms and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this we will do if GOD permit. (Hebrews 6:1-3)

1. What does the word "repent" mean?

A desire to turn away from sin and towards GOD.

2. What does the word "baptism" mean?

To immerse or make fully wet.

3. Who should be baptized?

Anyone who is willing to repent of their sins and accept YAHUSHUA.

Acts 8:36-38

8:36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?
8:37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that YAHUSHUA is the SON of YAHUVEH.
8:38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

4. Who is qualified to baptize someone?

Anyone who has already been saved and baptized.

1 Corinthians 1:14-16
1:14 I thank GOD that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;
1:15 Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.
1:16 And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.

5. Is salvation by works (doing good deeds, etc)?

No. Salvation is by grace through faith.

Ephesians 2:8-9

2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of GOD:
2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

6. What is grace?

GOD’s unmerited favor or benefit. See Strong’s Bible Concordance.

7. What must one do to be saved?

Believe with your heart in the LORD YAHUSHUA and confess HIM as LORD with your mouth.

Romans 10:8-10

10:8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the LORD YAHUSHUA, and shalt believe in thine heart that YAHUVEH hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Acts 16:30-31

16:30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
16:31 And they said, Believe on the LORD YAHUSHUA, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

John 3:15-16

3:15 That whosoever believeth in HIM should not perish, but have eternal life.
3:16 For YAHUVEH so loved the world, that he gave HIS only begotten SON, that whosoever believeth in HIM should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 5:24

5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth MY word, and believeth on HIM that sent ME, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

8. What is the baptism of the HOLY SPIRIT?

To be endued with the power of the HOLY SPIRIT.

Luke 24:49

24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of MY Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

Acts 1:5-8

1:5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the HOLY GHOST not many days hence.
1:6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of HIM, saying, LORD, wilt THOU at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
1:7 And HE said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in HIS own power.
1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the HOLY GHOST is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto ME both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Acts 2:1-4

2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2:2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
2:3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
2:4 And they were all filled with the HOLY GHOST, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

9. Who is qualified to receive baptism of the HOLY SPIRIT?

Any believer of YAHUSHUA, who truly desires to be obedient to HIM.

Acts 5:30-32

5:30 The GOD of our fathers raised up YAHUSHUA, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.
5:31 HIM hath YAHUVEH exalted with HIS right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
5:32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the HOLY GHOST, whom GOD hath given to them that obey HIM.

10. Is the baptism of the HOLY SPIRIT necessary in order to be saved?

No.

Acts 8:12-17

8:12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of YAHUVEH, and the name of YAHUSHUA, they were baptized, both men and women.
8:13 Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.
8:14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of GOD, they sent unto them Peter and John:
8:15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the HOLY GHOST:
8:16 (For as yet SHE was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the LORD YAHUSHUA.)
8:17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the HOLY GHOST.

Mark 16:16-20

16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In MY NAME shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
16:18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
16:19 So then after the LORD had spoken unto them, HE was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of GOD.
16:20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the LORD working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

John 3:36

He that believeth on the SON hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the SON shall not see life; but the wrath of YAHUVEH abideth on him.

11. Four reasons for laying on of hands.

1. for baptism in the HOLY SPIRIT,
2. for healing,
3. for ordination into the ministry,
4. for blessing.

12. Is laying on of hands a symbolic act or otherwise?

Otherwise.

Numbers 27:18-20

27:18 And YAHUVEH said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him;
27:19 And set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight.
27:20 And thou shalt put some of thine honour upon him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient.

Deuteronomy 34:9

And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as YAHUVEH commanded Moses.

13. How many resurrections will there be?

Two. See Revelation 20

14. Which resurrection is the better one?

The first one. Those in the first resurrection will rule and reign with YAHUSHUA. They are the ones who have gone all the way with YAHUSHUA, even laying down their lives for HIS sake. Revelation 20

Hebrews 11:35-40

11:35 Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:
11:36 And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:
11:37 They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;
11:38 (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.
11:39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
11:40 GOD having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

15. Will all believers be in the same resurrection?

No.
Notice that at the end of Revelation 20, the Book of Life is opened. Some people are not in the book and are cast into the Lake of Fire. Those whose names are in the book (Christians who were not in the first resurrection) are saved.

16. To what place will those who reject YAHUSHUA be sent?

Hell and then at the last judgment, the Lake of Fire. Revelation 20, Luke 16:19-31

17. Will all believers receive the same rewards?

No.
1 Corinthians 3:14-15, 15:41

  • Repentance from dead works,
  • faith towards GOD,
  • doctrine of baptisms,
  • laying on of hands,
  • resurrection of the dead,
  • eternal judgment.
Hebrews 6:1-3
6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of YAHUSHUA, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward GOD,
6:2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
6:3 And this will we do, if GOD permit.

19. What are the five ministries of the Church.

Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Shepherds (pastors) and teachers.

20. What are the six foundational principles that the Apostle Paul calls the milk of the word?

  • repentance
  • faith towards GOD
  • doctrines of baptisms
  • laying on of hands
  • resurrection of the dead
  • eternal judgment
Hebrews 5:12-14; 6:1-3
15:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of GOD; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
15:13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
15:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

21. What are the five gift ministries to the Church?

  • Apostles
  • Prophets
  • Evangelists
  • Shepherds (pastors)
  • Teachers
Ephesians 4:11-16
11 And HE gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of YAHUSHUA:
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the SON of YAHUVEH, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of YAHUSHUA:
14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even YAHUSHUA:
16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

22. What are the nine gifts of the HOLY SPIRIT?

Speaking Gifts Power Gifts
  • Tongues
  • Gift of healing
  • Interpretation of tongues
  • Miracles
  • Prophecy
  • Faith
Revelation Gifts
  • Word of wisdom
  • Word of knowledge
Discerning of spirits

1 Corinthians 12:8-14

12:4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
12:5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same LORD.
12:6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same GOD which worketh all in all.
12:7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
12:8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
12:9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
12:10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
12:11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
12:12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is YAHUSHUA.
12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
12:14 For the body is not one member, but many.

23. What are the nine fruits of the HOLY SPIRIT?

  • Love
  • Joy
  • Peace
  • Longsuffering
  • Gentleness
  • Goodness
  • Faith
  • Meekness
  • Temperance
Galatians 5:22-23
5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

24. What are the characteristics of a carnal Christian?

Envy, strife, and division.

1 Corinthians 3:3

For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

25. Can a true believer turn back and lose his/her salvation?

Yes.

Luke 12:42-48

12:42 And the YAHUSHUA said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his Lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?
12:43 Blessed is that servant, whom his Lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
12:44 Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.
12:45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My Lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;
12:46 The Lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
12:47 And that servant, which knew his Lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
12:48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

Hebrews 6:4-6

6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the HOLY GHOST,
6:5 And have tasted the good word of GOD, and the powers of the world to come,
6:6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the SON of YAHUVEH afresh, and put him to an open shame.

Hebrews 10:36-39

10:36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of GOD, ye might receive the promise.
10:37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.
10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, MY soul shall have no pleasure in him.
10:39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

2 Peter 2:20-21

2:20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the LORD and Saviour YAHUSHUA, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
2:21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

26. Can a person be saved and not receive a reward?

Yes.

1 Corinthians 3:13-17

3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
3:14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
3:15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of GOD, and that the Spirit of GOD dwelleth in you?
3:17 If any man defile the temple of GOD, him shall GOD destroy; for the temple of GOD is holy, which temple ye are.

27. What is a Christian’s reward based on?

His/her works in obedience to YAHUSHUA.

28. How should the church treat a believer who is involved in fornication (sex outside marriage)?

Remove him/her from the church, if he/she will not repent.

1 Corinthians 5

5:1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.
5:2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.
5:3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,
5:4 In the name of our LORD YAHUSHUA, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our LORD YAHUSHUA,
5:5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the LORD YAHUSHUA.
5:6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
5:7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even YAHUSHUA our passover is sacrificed for us:
5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
5:9 I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:
5:10 Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.
5:11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
5:12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
5:13 But them that are without GOD judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

29. How often should a husband and wife have sexual relations?

As often as either one wants to.

1 Corinthians 7:1-6

7:1 Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.
7:2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
7:3 Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.
7:4 The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.
7:5 Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.
7:6 But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.

30. Which ministry has the authority to not work a secular job for a living?

Apostles.

1 Corinthians 9:1-14

9:1 Am I not an apostle? am I not free? have I not seen YAHUSHUA our LORD? are not ye my work in the LORD?
9:2 If I be not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am to you: for the seal of mine apostleship are ye in the LORD.
9:3 Mine answer to them that do examine me is this,
9:4 Have we not power to eat and to drink?
9:5 Have we not power to lead about a sister, a wife, as well as other apostles, and as the brethren of the LORD, and Cephas?
9:6 Or I only and Barnabas, have not we power to forbear working?
9:7 Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock?
9:8 Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also?
9:9 For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth GOD take care for oxen?
9:10 Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope.
9:11 If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?
9:12 If others be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of YAHUSHUA.
9:13 Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar?
9:14 Even so hath the LORD ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.

31. How were the children of Israel baptized unto Moses?

In the cloud and in the sea.

1 Corinthians 10

10:1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
10:2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
10:3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was YAHUSHUA.

32. What is the List the following in proper order of headship

YAHUVEH, YAHUSHUA, man, woman.

33. What is the benefit of praying in tongues?

1 Corinthians 14:4

4 He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.

Romans 8:26-27

8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of YAHUVEH.

34. According to 1 Corinthians 14, what should one desire and pray for?

To prophesy.

1 Corinthians 14:1, 12, 24-25, & 39
14:1 Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.
14:12 Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.
14:24 But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all:
14:25 And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship GOD, and report that GOD is in you of a truth.
14:29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.

35. Is it possible to sing in tongues?

Yes.

1 Corinthians 14:14-15

14:14 For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.
14:15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.

36. Will everyone be resurrected at the same time?

No.

1 Corinthians 15:23

20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of YAHUSHUA, and for the word of GOD, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with YAHUSHUA a thousand years.
20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

37. Will there be different degrees of glory in the resurrection?

Yes.

1 Corinthians15:41-42

15:41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.
15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:
15:43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:
15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

Daniel 12:2-3

12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

38. According to YAHUSHUA’s words in Acts 1:8, when does someone receive power?

After the HOLY GHOST is come upon them.

39. Is the HOLY SPIRIT for us today?

Yes.

Acts 2:38-39

2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of YAHUSHUA for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the HOLY GHOST.
2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as YAHUSHUA our GOD shall call.

Joel 2:28-29

2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out MY Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
2:29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out MY Spirit.

40. Is there a difference between a believer and a disciple?

Yes.

John 8:31-32

8:31 Then said YAHUSHUA to those Jews which believed on HIM, If ye continue in MY word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Luke 9:23-24,

9:23 And HE said to them all, If any man will come after ME, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow ME.
9:24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for MY sake, the same shall save it.

Matthew 16:24-25

16:24 Then said YAHUSHUA unto HIS disciples, If any man will come after ME, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow ME.
16:25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for MY sake shall find it.

Mark 8:34-35

8:34 And when HE had called the people unto HIM with HIS disciples also, HE said unto them, Whosoever will come after ME, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow ME.
8:35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for MY sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.

John 15:8

Herein is MY Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be MY disciples.

41. Is every disciple a believer?

Yes.

Matthew 10:38-39

10:38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after ME, is not worthy of ME.
10:39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for MY sake shall find it.

Luke 14:26-27

14:26 If any man come to ME, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be MY disciple.
14:27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after ME, cannot be MY disciple.

42. Is every believer a disciple?

No.

John 8:32

8:31 Then said YAHUSHUA to those Jews which believed on HIM, If ye continue in MY word, then are ye MY disciples indeed;
8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

43. Can a person be a believer and not have the empowering of the HOLY SPIRIT?

Yes.

Acts 8:14-17

8:14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of GOD, they sent unto them Peter and John:
8:15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the HOLY GHOST:
8:16 (For as yet SHE was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the LORD YAHUSHUA.)
8:17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the HOLY GHOST.

Involvement with the occult, unforgiveness, bitterness, fear.

Yes.

Acts 10:44-47

10:44 While Peter yet spake these words, the HOLY GHOST fell on all them which heard the word.
10:45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the HOLY GHOST.
10:46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify GOD. Then answered Peter,
10:47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the HOLY GHOST as well as we?

46. Is it necessary for believers to be circumcised?

No.

Acts 15:1

And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.

Acts 15:7-11

15:7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago GOD made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
15:8 And GOD, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the HOLY GHOST, even as HE did unto us;
15:9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
15:10 Now therefore why tempt ye GOD, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
15:11 But we believe that through the grace of the LORD YAHUSHUA we shall be saved, even as they.

Acts 15:28-29

15:28 For it seemed good to the HOLY GHOST, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;
15:29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

  • covetous,
  • drunkards,
  • revilers,
  • extortioners.
1 Corinthians 6:9-10

6:10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of GOD.

48. Does YAHUVEH want us to change into the same image of Glory as HIS Son YAHUSHUA?

2 Corinthians 3:18

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the LORD, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the LORD.

49. What happens to the soul of a believer at physical death?

It goes to be with the LORD in the heavenly realm.

2 Corinthians 5:6-8

5:6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the LORD:

5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the LORD.

50. Should the believer live for himself or for YAHUSHUA?

For YAHUSHUA.

And that HE died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto HIM which died for them, and rose again.

51. Why was it necessary for YAHUSHUA to be made sin for us?

That we might have the righteousness of GOD.

2 Corinthians 5:17-21

5:17 Therefore if any man be in YAHUSHUA, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
5:18 And all things are of YAHUVEH, who hath reconciled us to HIMSELF by YAHUSHUA, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
5:19 To wit, that GOD was in YAHUSHUA, reconciling the world unto HIMSELF, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for YAHUSHUA, as though GOD did beseech you by us: we pray you in YAHUSHUA's stead, be ye reconciled to GOD.
5:21 For he hath made HIM to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of GOD in HIM.

10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through GOD to the pulling down of strong holds;)
10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of GOD, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of YAHUSHUA;
10:6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

53. Are there false apostles?

Yes.

1 John 2:18-22

2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
2:19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
2:20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.
2:21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that YAHUSHUA is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the FATHER and the SON.

Revelation 2:2
I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:

54. Do true apostles ever suffer persecution or hardship?

Yes.

2 Corinthians 11:23-33

11:22 Are they Hebrews? so am I. Are they Israelites? so am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? so am I.
11:23 Are they ministers of YAHUSHUA? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft.

55. What is a reprobate?

One who has turned away from GOD.

2 Corinthians 13:5-7

13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that GOD is in you, except ye be reprobates?
13:6 But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates.
13:7 Now I pray to GOD that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates.

Patience,
signs,
